Like the coupé counterpart, the 8C spider is powered by the 4.7 liters V8 engine that delivers 450 hp and is coupled with a 6-speed F1-style paddle shift gearbox and a rear-wheel drive system.

The roof is made of two layers of fabric and can be personalised in various colours to match the body colour of the vehicle.

Like the 8C Competizione coupé, production of the Alfa 8C Spider will be limited to 500 units, and it is expected to sell out within weeks of being announced.
