The e-2 is the second concept car presented by German e-WOLF, after the e-1 single seater unveiled at Frankfurt 2009.
The exterior design of the e-2 combines elements and proportions that remind of the angular-shaped Lamborghini Reventon and of the latest Ferrari models.
The main dimensions are a length of 5.0 meters, a width of 1.9 meters and a height of 1.2 meters
Thanks to the adoption of lightweight materials, the target weight is under 900 kg.
Given the noiseless nature of the electric powertrain, the e-2 will include an acoustic safety sound generator.
The theoretical powertrain featuresfour electric motors (one per wheel), with a max output of 400 kW (536 hp) and a torque of 1,000 Nm. Estimated performance figures are a 0-60 mph time under 4 seconds and a top speed limited to 155mph (250 km/h).
e-WOLF is planning to develop a prototype within 2011.
Germany-based e-WOLF is part of the Maiworm Group. Its goal is to develop and manufacture extreme performance electric sports cars.
Among the technical partners are the Institute of Lightweight Structures and Polymer Technology (ILK) of the TU Dresden, the Saxon Centre for Lightweight Construction (LZS) and Li-Tec Battery GmbH.
