At the next London Motor Show automotive engineering company IFR Automotive will unveil the Aspid, a two-seater roadster with a lightweight aluminium-carbon fiber structure and a total mass of 700 kg which will be produced in limited series from 2009.

Pininfarina has announced that it will unveil a special one-off called Hyperion during Pebble Beach Concours, on August 2008. The car, commissioned by a private collector, is based on the Rolls Royce Drophead Coupé and inspired by pre war cars.

The Maserati Bellagio is a fastback one-off based on the Maserati Quattroporte. It was created by Touring Superleggera and has debuted at the 2008 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.

Aston Martin Racing has revealed the first official pictures of the Vantage GT2, which will make its race debut with James Watts Automotive in the Le Mans Series at Barcelona on 5 April 2008.

The Hot Rod Jakob celebrates the 1927 OV4, nicknamed the Jakob, the very first series-produced Volvo car. Created by Leif Tufvesson and his company Caresto, the two-seater sportscar features a carbon fiber body and a hot rod minimalisitic design.

Italian design studios StudioM and StudioTorino have created a shooting-brake version of the Maserati Quattroporte. The project was commissioned by a private customer and has been unveiled as a scale model.

At the 2008 Detroit Motor Show Maserati has unveiled an exclusive limited-edition of the Quattroporte, with a new ivory exterior color combined with a luxurious interior. Only 100 units will be produced.

UK-based company Arash Cars has released the first renderings of its AF-8 upcoming sportscar. It will be powered by a V8 unit by GM and will go on sale in 2010.

The Avocet by by MM Industries is a classical British 2-seater sportscar with a doorless moulded bodyshell and a total weight of 700 kg. Based on Ford parts, it will be produced in a limited series of 50 units per year.

Aston Martin Racing has revealed a preview rendering of its new Vantage GT2, a racing car based on the V8 Vantage production car, completing the brand's racing model line-up for every GT racing category.
