Trebor Media has organized Vehicle Design Expo, a trade only event that will take place at the CICG - International Conference Centre - in Geneva, Switzerland on March 4th and 5th 2010. Entry will be free of charge for vehicle design professionals.

Local Motors has announced the San Francisco Competition, which asks participants to design an electric vehicle with a Shooting-Brake body style that captures the true essence of San Francisco. The submission deadline is 1 September 2009.

Local Motors has announced the results of its Rally Fighter Light Bar engineering competition. The winning project selected for entering production as an accessory for the Rally Fighter off-roader is the Baja Roof Light kit designed by Australian Filip Tejszerski.

Organized by Nissan in collaboration with designboom, 'Think Outside The Parking Box' is an international graphic design competition which asks participants to submit ideas that challenge current perceptions of urban parking. The submission deadline is 27 September 2009.

Local Motors has selected eleven finalist projects for the Rally Fighter Light Bar Engineering Competition. The internet community is invited to support the open source design process by voting their favorite. The winning entry will enter production.

From 27 June 2009 until 7 February 2010 the Los Angeles-based Petersen Automotive Museum will host the exhibition titled "California Car Design: local style, global influence" dedicated to vehicles designed in the Southern California area.

French magazine L’argus de l’automobile has launched its 8th European Design Competition, with the brief "Less is more: travelling in the era of simplicity". The contest is open to European design students and the submission deadline is 11 December 2009.
