Local Motors has announced the results of its Carolina Motors Design Competition. The winning project is the Ducati-inspired DesmoSedici RR by Anthony Colard. The second and third prizes were respectively won by Julien Sarremajean and Giulio Partisani.

The winning entries of the 2008 VDA Design Awards, the competition open to design students with the theme "Transport Efficiency 2020". The projects focused on futuristic solutions aimed at efficiency and urban environments.

"A dive into the Asti region" is an exhibition dedicated to the region surrounding Asti (Piedmont, Italy) which includes 30 tempera drawings by designer and artist Alessandro Porta. It will be open from 23 May to 2 June 2009.

Local Motors has announced the winners of the Rally Fighter Interior Design Competition. The first three prizes were won respectively by Mihai Panaitescu, Artem Popkov and Anthony Collard.

Local Motors has announced its first interior design competition, which asks participants to create the interior of the Rally Fighter, the off-road vehicle project currently under development for production. The submission deadline is 3 March 2009.

DesignerTechniques has started the 3rd edition of its design competition. Participants are asked to create a commercial truck choosing a non-automotive brand and expressing its values in the design. The submission deadline is 31 March 2009.

Car Design News has announced the results of the Car Design of the Year Awards 2008. The first places in the Concept and Production categories were respectively won by the BMW GINA Concept and the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro.
